Features: This dictionary set consists of three volumes: "Wall Street Financial Dictionary," "Investment Dictionary," and "Banking Dictionary." Each volume has a different focus, though there is some overlap. The compilation of this series is primarily based on the U.S. federal system and management system, supplemented by the Commonwealth system. Except for explicitly mentioned countries and regions, all definitions follow the current standards of the U.S. and British systems. In recent years, financial dictionaries appearing in China's book market have often interpreted many terms from a Chinese perspective, resulting in significant differences from international conventions. Some concepts in certain terms have been outdated, while others—newly emerging terms—have not been included. All these issues have contributed to confusion alongside the development of concepts and vocabulary. This is largely due to some terms in China having established conventional meanings, yet both their connotations and extensions differ considerably internationally. This cannot be overlooked as a barrier to aligning with global standards. To address these issues, we compiled this dictionary, aiming to eliminate erroneous or confusing concepts, provide new terms and relevant terminology with definitions, and adapt to the new realities following China's entry into the WTO. This will enable China's financial industry to integrate more quickly and effectively with the global financial sector. The dictionary is arranged in alphabetical order by English letters, covering over 4,000 terms. Each entry includes a detailed Chinese definition. Since the international financial system is largely based on the financial systems of the U.S. and the U.K., the definitions in this dictionary primarily follow this framework, with a particular emphasis on the financial center of the U.S. — Wall Street.
