Patient's question:
A 4-year-old boy with right inguinal hydrocele.Doctor's answer:
Infants and young children with hydrocele can often be absorbed during development, so unless the hydrocele is large, treatment is generally not required. Surgical treatment is suitable for larger hydroceles, usually involving the inguinal canal hydroceles repair, hydroceles of the spermatic cord require cyst excision, and hydroceles of communication require high ligation of the processus vaginalis combined with hydroceles repair. Small hydroceles can be treated with cyst puncture and drainage with medication.
