Publish Date: 2003-08-01
Features: This standard is a national standard, implemented starting August 1, 2003. The mandatory provisions of the original "Design Code for Underground Railways" GB50157-92 and the original "Design Code for Underground Railways" GB50157-92 were simultaneously abolished. This standard is based on the original 13 chapters and has been expanded to 23 chapters, with 4 appendices added. The new content includes operation organization, A-type vehicle clearance, elevated structures, environmental and equipment monitoring systems, automatic ticketing systems, environmental protection, and more. Many provisions in the original chapters have also been expanded and deepened in line with the times. At the same time, based on expert recommendations and widespread consensus, the name of this standard has now been simplified to "Metro Design Code." This standard applies to the new engineering design of metro systems using steel-wheel and steel-rail systems. Renovation, expansion, and metro projects with a maximum operating speed exceeding 100 km/h, as well as similar urban rail transit projects of other types, may refer to this standard for implementation.
