Features: The problem of love between men and women has been a subject of intense debate in philosophy, religion, psychology, aesthetics, and sociology for centuries. This is primarily because such love is closely linked to a person's understanding of social life, their education, and their social behavior. Disagreements about the nature of this intimate emotion and morality are, in terms of thought, directly or indirectly constrained by the class struggle of a certain era. Research and observation show that the driving force and intrinsic essence of love are the sexual desires of men and women, as well as the instinct for the continuation of the species. This conclusion is proven by the scientific philosophical methodology and the materialist historical view of social life. Marx and Engels said, "Any premise of human history undoubtedly is the existence of living individuals. What exactly is love between men and women? Why did Romeo and Juliet fall in love at first sight? Do animals also have love? Why do people fall in love? How can one explain the undying love that lasts until death? Bulgarian ethicist Vasilev's research work attempts to answer these questions. The author cites a vast amount of material from world literature, analyzing various aspects of the love issue from the perspectives of ethics, sociology, and psychology. The author firmly rejects religious asceticism, believing that love between men and women is reasonable and just, while also elaborating in detail on issues such as love and responsibility, love and morality, and the heart and reason. Since its first publication in 1984, this book has been printed 12 times and has sold 1,210,000 copies.
