This book is the teacher's edition for the third volume of the "College English" series (New Edition) "Reading Course" (General Version), containing 8 units and 24 lessons. It is compiled and arranged in the order of the texts in the third volume of the "Reading Course" for teachers to use when preparing lessons and explaining texts, as well as for students to refer to when studying independently. Each lesson includes the following three aspects:
Ⅰ. Information related to the text: This section provides background information and knowledge related to the text, mainly covering names of people, places, countries, institutions, festivals, buildings, events, plants and animals, and specialized terms mentioned in the text.
Ⅱ. Difficult language points in the text: This part mainly explains, translates, and rephrases language knowledge in the text that exceeds students' current grasp, such as sentences, phrases, idioms, and slang. To facilitate students' understanding of these language difficulties, the English words used in explanations and rephrasing are those they have learned or are familiar with.
Ⅲ. Keys to the exercises: This section includes the correct answers to various objective questions in each lesson's exercises, as well as reference answers to some subjective questions.
