Features: This is a wonderful book that uses text and images to illustrate the possibility of reusing houses, warehouses, and other non-residential buildings. In many other European cities, warehouses and other industrial buildings have lost their original annual usage functions and have been vacant for a long time. In Amsterdam, however, they have been creatively repurposed for residential and studio use, partly due to housing shortages decades ago. But these extraordinary living spaces not only prove their appeal during real estate market downturns; their unpredictable indoor function allocation and spaces provide future owners with ample room to imagine and develop.
