Features: The "Chinese-English Dictionary" is large in capacity and comprehensive in function. It lists 11,000 single-character entries and 220,000 multi-character entries (including 20,000 idioms and colloquialisms, and 20,000 newly coined words in the past decade), with an additional 200,000 compound words included within the entries. The dictionary is arranged in Pinyin order, with all entries annotated with Pinyin. Polyphonic and polysemic characters are listed in their respective positions and cross-referenced with "See also." At the beginning of the dictionary, there are four types of indexes: syllables, Pinyin, radicals, and stroke counts. Traditional and variant characters follow the single-character entries. The definitions of single-character entries are categorized by part of speech and provided in both Chinese and English. At the end of the book, there are five appendices. The dictionary is extremely convenient for both Chinese and foreign readers.
