Features: Selected Cases from Meishoutang by Ye Gui of the Qing Dynasty. Ye Gui, styled Tianshi, also known as Xiangyan, was a native of Wuxian. Compiled by Guo Weijun. Guo Weijun, styled Wensheng, was also a native of Wuxian. This compilation is Guo Weijun’s collection of genuine cases from Meishoutang Tianshi. The upper volume lists spring warmth, seasonal fevers, summer heat, dryness, cold, winter warmth, and malaria, while the lower volume includes gynecology, pediatrics, smallpox, and external medicine. Its various dangerous conditions and applies rigorous empirical methods, with complete and thorough treatments listed for each case, avoiding redundancy and complexity. Different syndromes are treated with different methods, and it differs from the Ye An Cunzhen. The Ye An Cunzhen focuses on internal injuries and chronic fatigue, while this book covers seasonal fevers, gynecology, pediatrics, and smallpox. The preface of the Ye An Cunzhen mentions: "I also have several volumes of gynecology at home, which are currently being compiled and have not yet been completed. They will be published in the future." This may be similar to this work. However, many miscellaneous conditions are not covered, so it may not be as valuable as a gem. The book is an ancient manuscript, and Cao Bingzhang acquired it at a high price. His discussions on diseases and medications are like those of an experienced judge, accurately targeting the condition and greatly benefiting future learners. Therefore, he published this collection for reference. Excerpt:
