Features: Flowers are symbols of beauty, bringing joy, vitality, and hope to people. They can beautify the environment, enhance the fun of life, and benefit physical and mental health. Across the vast land of our great motherland, there are exotic flowers and plants everywhere, competing in beauty all year round. For thousands of years, the people of our country have regarded flowers as good companions. Tao Yuanming loved chrysanthemums, Zhou Dunyi loved lotuses, Lin Hejing loved plum blossoms, Su Dongpo loved crabapples, Zheng Banqiao loved bamboos, and Zhu De loved orchids, all of which have been passed down as famous stories. In the mythological novel "The Old Gardener's Late Encounter with a Fairy," Qiu Wang, due to his cultivation, love, and protection of flowers, received the assistance of flower spirits. Ancient scholars and literati all had excellent poems and elegant lines praising flowers. Today, appreciating, loving, and cultivating flowers are important parts of daily life and an indispensable part of spiritual life. Flowers not only provide aesthetic enjoyment but also have medicinal value. The flowers, leaves, stems, and roots of many famous flowers can be used in medicine. For example, peonies and narcissus contain anti-cancer components, and Catharanthus roseus has been refined into "vincristine," which is used to treat cancer. Chrysanthemums are used to treat high blood pressure, and azaleas are used to treat bronchitis, etc. To help people better understand the medicinal value of flowers and allow the famous flowers in the fragrant land to make greater contributions to human health, we have compiled this small book. This book selects over a hundred types of flowers, each accompanied by a poem composed by ancient and modern literati praising the flower. Then, a brief introduction to the characteristics of each flower is provided, followed by an explanation of the medicinal value of its flowers, leaves, roots, bark, etc. At the end of each flower entry, "Selected Simple Recipes" are listed for reference and use.
