Features: If there were only Jin Yong, not Gu Long, the Chinese-speaking world would be so lonely; if there were only Xiao Feng, not Li Xunhuan, the martial world would lose its brilliance. Wuxia, the fairy tale of adults, has captivated and moved so many. Amidst the journey, swords and daggers fly, hearts are intoxicated, landscapes are magnificent, and emotions are diverse. Pain, drunkenness, obsession, laughter—after waking up, there is this "Gu Jin Arms Spectrum." I often think how mysterious and wonderful fate is; it gave birth to Jin, and also gave birth to Gu. If there were only Jin Yong or only Gu Long in the martial world, what a great loss it would be for us. As a lover of the Chinese language, I often feel deep gratitude for fate. In the fragmented and suffering 20th century, heaven still bestowed upon us the linguistic miracles created by Jin Yong and Gu Long. Compared to Jin Yong's pursuit of a balanced and harmonious ideal, Gu Long has more rebelliousness and also more narcissistic tendencies, which manifest as a fleeting obsession with sensual pleasures. Besides Linghu Chong, Jin Yong never made a rogue the protagonist. Moreover, from a sensual perspective, the Linghu brothers do not deserve the title of rogue. As for the sensual women in Jin Yong's works, they are truly rare (perhaps only Madam Ma and Madam Hong), while the majority are victims of Platonic love poisoning, such as Azhu, Azhi, Xiao Zhao, Zhao Min, Cheng Lingsu, Guo Xiang, and Yilin, who are everywhere. In Gu Long's works, there are many sensual women, but the ones written well enough to rival Madam Ma are roughly only Lin Xian'er.
