Features: This book argues that the way out of the shadow of traditional teaching lies in adopting a rational attitude towards knowledge and thinking. The primary value of knowledge exists in the process of problem-solving. Only those who are good at thinking can flexibly apply knowledge to practical problem-solving and achieve the transformation of knowledge into wisdom. Particularly in the current educational context, where learning is dominated by a vast amount of memorization, fostering students' thinking skills should become a fundamental mission of education. In other words, although teaching is closely related to knowledge and carries the task of transmitting basic knowledge and skill training, its ultimate purpose is not to have students master a large amount of knowledge, but to guide them in developing their thinking skills through the process of "using" knowledge, "appreciating" knowledge, and "interacting" with knowledge, ultimately achieving problem-solving. Teaching students to think requires corresponding transformations in teaching strategies, curriculum design, and teacher quality.
