Features: In recent years, the technology of cytopathology has made significant progress. The clinical application of many new methods and techniques has greatly enriched disease diagnosis, particularly promoting the improvement of cytopathological diagnostic levels in primary hospitals. However, due to the scarcity of practical and operable cytopathology published domestically, we have organized experts and professors who have long been engaged in cytopathology work. They have summarized the new achievements and advancements in cytopathology from abroad in recent years and, combined with years of clinical practice, compiled the book "Clinical Practical Cytopathology." The book consists of 22 chapters, divided into four parts: General Cytopathology, Exfoliative Cytopathology, Fine Needle Aspiration Cytopathology (Practical Puncture Cytopathology), and Hematologic Cytopathology. The book contains approximately 500,000 words, with 47 black-and-white images and over 400 color cytopathological images. Starting from the basic theories of human anatomy, histology, embryology, and pathology, the book explains cytopathological changes, describes cell morphology, and emphasizes differential diagnosis. It also pays attention to the entire process of clinical history, physical signs, and specimen collection. The book provides detailed introductions to the application and recent advancements of new technologies such as cell image analysis, apoptosis, in situ molecular hybridization, telomeres, and telomerase. This book is suitable for cytopathologists in various levels of hospitals, especially in primary hospitals, as well as clinical and laboratory students and postgraduates. It also holds significant reference value for other medical and pharmaceutical workers at all levels.
