Can epilepsy be cured completely?

Patient's question:

Over two years, high fever with convulsions twice; one year of afebrile convulsions lasting about one minute, went to the hospital for examination, diagnosed with epilepsy, underwent ultra-low frequency biotherapy. The doctor said it could be cured after taking medicine for half a year. Can it be completely cured?

Doctor's answer:

This situation is still considered to be a case of epilepsy. High fever can easily trigger it. The treatment currently being administered is quite comprehensive. It's hard to say if it can be completely cured, but at least it can effectively control the recurrence of epilepsy.
