Features: This volume includes political writings, party documents, current affairs commentaries, correspondence, and book reviews by Marx and Engels written from mid-August 1849 to late June 1851. During this period, the revolutions in the continental European countries of 1848-1849, and the European revolution began to enter a low ebb. This volume includes 8 new documents, with 5 written by Marx and Engels: "Estimate of the Profit and Circulation of the New Rheinische Zeitung, Politische Wirtschaftliche Zeitung" and "Notes added to the poem "For the Re-publication of Louis Menard." Appendix includes 3 documents: "Report on the speech delivered by F. Engels at the banquet commemorating the second anniversary of the French February Revolution on February 25, 1850" and "Receipt of the Social Democratic Emigrant Committee dated September 20, 1850." According to the editorial principles of this Collected Works, some documents and private letters will be included in the corresponding later volumes.
