Time issue of newborn hepatitis B vaccination

Patient's question:

Patient Age: Born 20 days
My baby was born on April 22nd. On April 23rd, he received his first dose of the hepatitis B vaccine. According to the schedule, the second dose should be administered on May 23rd. However, the community hospital here says they will only give the second dose after the baby's 42-day checkup. Additionally, the community hospital only provides vaccinations on Wednesdays, so the actual date for the second dose would be June 9th—48 days after the baby's birth. I'm very worried about any negative effects it might have on him!
As for the third dose, October 23rd is a Saturday. Should we get it administered early on the 20th or postpone it to the 27th?

Doctor's answer:

The timing of the vaccination program for the hepatitis B vaccine is relatively ideal. If the vaccination is administered according to the standard schedule, it will be more beneficial for the formation of antibodies in the child's body.
Advice: However, it is acceptable if the vaccination schedule cannot be followed completely. The effectiveness of the antibodies may be slightly reduced, but after your child receives the three doses of the hepatitis B vaccine, it is still important to check the titer of the hepatitis B surface antibody. If the antibody titer is not high, you can have your child receive an additional dose of the hepatitis B vaccine. Therefore, there is no need to worry too much.
