Features: It seems natural and effortless to step into the culinary world. Growing up watching my mother, who always busy pickling in large and small jars, stewing in big and small pots, creating a lively atmosphere, I would stand by the side just watching and find it fascinating. By the age of 8, I was constantly running in and out of the small snack shop we had at home, and cooking always held more appeal to me than books. Although I can cook many dishes, my specialty and favorite remains Taiwanese cuisine. I believe Taiwanese New Year's Eve dishes are perfect for family and friends gathering during the Lunar New Year. Many of these dishes are even better when reheated, and some hot pot broths offer flexibility—if guests arrive, adding more ingredients transforms them into a larger pot. This reminds me every year during the Lunar New Year, it feels like our home is always hosting an endless banquet. Many of these dishes are delicious in flavor, aroma, and appearance, with simple cooking methods—perhaps you just forgot one key trick or step. Let me share some insights and experiences I have with Taiwanese cuisine here. I hope these 23 delicious and easy-to-make dishes can awaken your taste buds and bring back fond memories.
