In the field of gynecology, cervical cancer has already had some preventive and therapeutic measures. However, there are still no effective treatments for other malignant tumors in gynecology. Malignant trophoblastic tumors are one of them. This type of tumor mostly originates from embryonic trophoblastic cells, with extremely strong destructive power. It can spread widely through the bloodstream at an early stage, leading to extensive metastasis and ultimately causing death to the patient. After the founding of New China, we began research on this disease. Through approximately ten years of clinical observation and laboratory research, we have gained a preliminary understanding of the clinical and pathological characteristics of this type of tumor and its developmental patterns, as well as establishing a set of examination methods and diagnostic criteria. However, in terms of treatment, due to the continuation of traditional methods, the results have been poor. Since 1958, we have engaged in the research of new therapies. After more than ten years of relentless effort and overcoming numerous difficulties and obstacles, we have finally found several effective drugs, established a method of high-dose chemotherapy, and achieved relatively significant therapeutic effects. Combined with the continuous innovation of diagnostic methods, which has improved early diagnosis rates, and the constant improvement of nursing techniques, which has prevented various complications, the mortality rate of patients with this type of tumor has significantly decreased. The content of this book is basically a summary of our own experience. However, in recent years, many scholars at home and abroad have also done a lot of work in this field and made great progress. To enable readers to gain a more comprehensive understanding of this topic, some chapters have also been enriched with relevant content.
