What is the reason for the trembling lips of a 2-month-old baby?

Patient's question:

For over two months, the male baby has been experiencing occasional trembling of the lips. What could be the reason?
Mixed feeding, with green stools for the past half month and bowel movements occurring every 2-3 days. Is this normal?
The fontanel is slightly larger, about 3 cm. Why? Is it due to calcium deficiency?

Doctor's answer:

Hello: Due to the underdeveloped nervous system, muscle tremors may occur when exposed to various stimuli. As the baby grows, this phenomenon will gradually disappear. If it is severe, it is recommended to take the baby to the hospital for a check-up to rule out trembling caused by various reasons such as calcium deficiency.
Normal stool is dark green and viscous or yellow and greasy. If the amount of each stool is large, it is normal.
The anterior fontanelle usually closes around 18 months of age. The size of the fontanelle is related to the head circumference. If it is larger than normal, it may indicate calcium deficiency. It is recommended to take the baby to the hospital for a definitive diagnosis before deciding on a calcium supplementation plan. Do not use medication on your own.
