How is baby pneumonia treated?

Patient's question:

Hello Doctor!
My son is 21 months old. A few days ago, he developed lung inflammation due to a cold and cough. He has been on intravenous fluids for about 10 days, and the inflammation has largely recovered. However, he is still undergoing treatment (taking Reviving Grass and Dalifene). Currently, his appetite is poor, and he eats very little (he didn't eat anything for the past two days). He is also crying and fussing a lot. Yesterday afternoon, his cough became more frequent, intense, and accompanied by vomiting. This morning, he went to the hospital, and the doctor prescribed some more oral cough syrup. We are very worried about him. Or, does anyone have any better suggestions?

Doctor's answer:

1. General Treatment
Maintain good ventilation in the room, keep the room temperature at 20°C and humidity around 60%. Provide easily digestible food and turn and cough regularly.
2. Antibiotics
Antibiotics should be selected based on the following principles: ① Clinical and laboratory data for possible pathogens. ② Choose antibiotics sensitive to the pathogens. ③ Severity of the disease.
If it is mycoplasma pneumonia, macrolides can be used. For viral pneumonia, antiviral drugs such as ribavirin or acyclovir can be administered.
3. Symptomatic Treatment
If there are signs of hypoxia, oxygen can be administered. Oral expectorants can be used. If the sputum is viscous and difficult to cough up, aerosol therapy can be applied.
