Features: Based on the New Full-Time Senior High School Textbooks (Trial Revision Edition · Compulsory) promoted by the Ministry of Education, we organized the writing of this book. It includes all classical Chinese texts and ancient poetry from the second-year high school trial revision edition Chinese textbook. Currently, high school textbooks are undergoing revision and transformation. If there are changes in the future, this book will be updated accordingly to align with teaching. For the classical Chinese texts included, we provide title explanations, translations, annotations, and commentaries, forming a new format. The title explanations focus on introducing the authors, historical background, and interpreting the titles. The translations mostly use literal translation, but where unavoidable, we use free translation and explain the reasons in the annotations. Annotations generally explain the meaning of words in the context of the text but sometimes trace the original meaning to help readers understand the evolution of word meanings. Commentaries are of two types: partial and general. Partial commentaries are brief remarks on specific words, sentences, or short paragraphs, often revealing subtle insights or highlighting key points. General commentaries are based on the entire text, offering insightful and analytical comments on the ideological content and artistic techniques. Punctuation has also been carefully reviewed and corrected. Title explanations are concise and to the point. Translations are clear and convey the intended meaning without being confined to traditional methods. Annotations adopt new research findings and reliable historical and literary sources, striving for accuracy and evidence. Commentaries are brief and concise. The layout uses interlinear annotations for words and phrases and arranges the original text and translation in two parallel lines to facilitate self-study by readers.
