Features: In November 2003, Guo Jingming, who had gained fame with the book "Fantasy City," published his new work "How Many Times Have the Flowers Fallen in My Dreams" with a first print run of 300,000 copies. The book sold like wildfire, with sales surpassing 500,000 copies shortly after its release. As Guo Jingming sparked a new wave of popularity, the female writer Zhuang Yu, employed by "Eastern Weekly," stepped forward to claim that "How Many Times Have the Flowers Fallen in My Dreams" bore more than 7 plot similarities to her work "Inside and Outside the Circle," with some language and character personalities directly mimicking "Inside and Outside the Circle." Whether it is right or wrong is not important; what matters to readers is the text. A fictionalized account of the chaotic life in the entertainment industry, a story about a cohabiting era without marriage, a kind of emotion that is more than friendship but less than love, and a novel that brought together a German-Chinese and a North American-Chinese through an online relationship. The most popular overseas original online novel, a realistic and fictionalized portrayal of the corrupt life in the entertainment industry. "The story's structure is impeccable, the text has a Wang Shuo-style rebellious yet not boring vibe, and it also carries the humor and depth of early works by Wang Xiaobo."
