Features: A comprehensive review of Gu's Medical Cases, Gu's prescription modifications are highly flexible. In treating (heterogeneous diseases), he emphasizes supporting the body's vital Qi. He has expertise in both (external pathogens) and (internal injuries) diseases. Gu prioritizes nurturing the body's vital Qi when treating diseases but does not neglect attacking pathogens. When dealing with conditions where pathogens are firmly entrenched, he opposes the excessive use of tonics. In cases where multiple vacuities coexist, he prioritizes strengthening the spleen and stomach and soothing the middle earth. His (medication use) is characterized by lightness, fluidity, and nourishing properties. Mr. Fei Shengfu's Medical Cases is unclear about who copied it and when. It is divided into 25 categories, with 173 cases, but after removing duplicates, there are actually 110 unique cases. From these cases, we can discern some basic characteristics of the manuscript. Each case only includes one consultation, with no follow-up visits. Although Mr. Fei's cases cover a wide range of specialties, including internal medicine, gynecology, pediatrics, etc., from a classification perspective, each case is unique. It can be inferred that these cases were carefully selected from Mr. Fei's extensive clinical records, refined through editing to retain the essence and remove the superfluous, and then categorized and organized for clarity. By reading these cases, readers can appreciate Mr. Fei's diagnostic and treatment approach. A comprehensive review of Wang Jiufeng's Medical Cases reveals his in-depth yet accessible analysis of pathogenesis, adherence to classical principles with insightful interpretations, and clear logical progression. His diagnoses and treatments are precise and targeted. His prescription strategies skillfully utilize the mechanisms of zang-fu organ interactions and the five elements' mutual generation and control, as well as the principles of yin-yang interdependence and mutual use. He emphasizes supporting the body's vital Qi, tonifying the kidneys, cultivating the middle earth, and preserving essence while maintaining emotional well-being. He is truly an expert in diagnosing and treating both (external heat diseases) and (internal heterogeneous diseases). This book contains three parts: Gu's Medical Cases, Mr. Fei Shengfu's Medical Cases, and Wang Jiufeng's Medical Cases. Each part includes an introduction before the main text, which provides an overview of the author and the book's content, highlighting its theoretical and clinical characteristics.
