Patient's question:

My son was confirmed to have epilepsy in April, the examination results showed epilepsy, and he has been taking Keplar. He is still taking Keplar. Recently, he feels like he shakes a little while sleeping. Is it not enough to take 1.5 tablets each morning and evening?

Doctor's answer:

Hello, epilepsy is a chronic disease characterized by sudden, abnormal discharges of brain neurons, leading to temporary dysfunction of the brain. Currently, the treatment of epilepsy both domestically and internationally primarily relies on medication. For drug-resistant epilepsy, individuals whose daily work and life are affected, partial epilepsy, or cases with a clearly identified epilepsy source area, a single and localized lesion, surgical treatment can be considered.
