Publishing Date: 2004-01-01
Features: This atlas marks and introduces 430 acupoints on the human body, including all 361 meridian points from the 14 meridians and 69 commonly used and clinically proven extra-meridian extraordinary points. The locations of the acupoints are primarily based on the "International Standard Acupuncture Point Names" published by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 1991. For acupoints such as extra-meridian extraordinary points that are not included in the "International Standard Acupuncture Point Names," other literature sources and the 5th edition of the textbook "Acupoint Science" were referenced to ensure the accuracy of every marked acupoint. Additionally, it is worth noting that the 361 meridian points shown in the atlas are not connected by the surface course lines of their respective meridians. More accurately, these differently colored lines should be referred to as meridian point connection lines. Unlike the complex and branched surface course lines of the meridians, these lines more clearly and distinctly indicate the meridian affiliation of each point, while also relatively clearly showing the general direction of the 14 meridians' course. Practical experience has proven that this method of marking meridian points is beneficial for learning and use.
