Seven-month-old infant, poor white matter development

Patient's question:

A 7-month-old infant with white matter developmental disorder, recently suspected of having infantile spasms. The electroencephalogram (EEG) showed negative results, but the child often exhibits head nodding-like spasms before sleep. Currently, the infant is undergoing hyperbaric oxygen therapy and receiving intravenous ceftriaxone. A dynamic EEG is desired, but the doctor mentioned the child is too young for it. However, it is uncertain whether it is indeed infantile spasms, and the question remains whether the intravenous fluids should continue. I am truly at a loss as to what to do. Urgent! Please seek expert advice. Thank you!!

Doctor's answer:

Hello! First, persist with hyperbaric oxygen therapy for 1-2 courses and wait for observation. It is not ruled out that it may be cerebral ischemia and hypoxia.
