Features: This book is a newly revised memory guide for the vocabulary list of the College English Teaching Syllabus, compiled by the Vocabulary Revision Working Group of the College English Teaching Syllabus. It was jointly published by Shanghai Foreign Language Education Press and Higher Education Press in July 2000. Compared to previous vocabulary memorization books, this book has three significant features: a new syllabus, a new approach, and a new layout. At the end of the book, there are four appendices: "A List of Some Countries (or Regions), Languages, Nationalities, and Nationalities," "A List of Common Geographical Names," "A List of Common Abbreviations," and "A List of Common Prefixes and Suffixes." These are designed to help students enrich their language knowledge while mastering vocabulary. Words marked with an asterisk () in the book are for the CET-4 level, while those without a mark are for middle school vocabulary.
