Features: Selected Short Stories from the Liberated Areas is a collection of works reflecting the achievements of literary creation in the Liberated Areas. Around the Yan'an Literary and Art Forum in 1942, literary creation in the Liberated Areas experienced significant development in both content and form, giving rise to a series of vivid and realistic works that depicted the Anti-Japanese War, rural reforms, and the struggles and lives of the people. This book selects short stories and reportage-style works from over twenty authors, including Ding Ling, Kong Ju, Kang Zhuo, Liu Baiyu, Zhou Erfu, and others, broadly embodying the influence of the basic spirit of the Yan'an Literary and Art Forum on literary creation.
