Because philosophy is not only about personal self-cultivation and refinement but also embodies the wisdom of the nation and ethnicity, and is related to the historical destiny of the nation and ethnicity. The existence of philosophy in a nation and ethnicity, especially the subtle, profound, and extensive metaphysical ontology philosophy, not only indicates that their rational and intuitive abilities have reached the pinnacle of human wisdom but also demonstrates that they have established a spiritual homeland, a haven of thought, a place of perception and stability, and a resting place for the soul. "The Great Way is what transforms and solidifies all things." The Great Way is the metaphysical way, the essence of the existence of all things in the universe, the observation of the changes of heaven and earth, the insight into the origin of all transformations, the cosmic principles derived from the laws of yin and yang nurturing of all things, as well as the pure laws, pure concepts, pure ideas, and pure truth obtained from this. This Way is boundless in its vastness and infinitely small in its intricacy; in its grandeur, it cannot be contained by heaven and earth; in its minuteness, it cannot be broken by the world. Although this Way is metaphysical, it is not suspended in the void; it flows throughout the universe and permeates all things. It is inseparable from affairs, and affairs are inseparable from the Way. The manifestation of the Way's circulation is everywhere, hence it is the unchanging truth, the existence of real and rational being. What I call the philosophy of the Great Way is this metaphysical ontology of the Great Way. The spirit of the Way, the philosophy of the Great Way, or the spirit of metaphysical ontology of the Great Way, is the fundamental spirit of Chinese cultural philosophy and the fundamental spirit of the Chinese nation. Rebuilding the philosophy of the Great Way, rebuilding the metaphysics of the Way's substance, is to rebuild this spirit, to rebuild the spiritual homeland of the Chinese nation, and to return to the soul of the Chinese nation.
