Features: Mystical culture is a mysterious and ever-changing treasure trove. Scholars glimpse flashes of wisdom from it; administrators summarize political strategies from it; merchants gain abundant wealth from it; believers seek binding chains of superstition from it. Looking at the contemporary world, many people at home and abroad are busy with mystical culture, and have achieved many beneficial results. Regrettably and pitifully, amidst the clamor, some uneducated and unscrupulous individuals have emerged, writing various pamphlets to promote superstition, confuse public perception, poison the masses, and enrich themselves.
Divination by character, also known as character breaking, character analysis, or character disassembly, is a social folk culture phenomenon chosen within the Chinese cultural sphere. In the realm of humanities and social sciences, it should have its own garden. In my limited view, there is still no dedicated work on divination by character published in China to this day. Under such circumstances, choosing this topic for writing seems somewhat presumptuous. After I delved into it, I realized how bizarre, bewildering, and chaotic this mystical field is, and I repeatedly had the urge to give up on it quickly. However, simply labeling divination as "superstitious" cannot lead those who are obsessed with it back to the right path, nor can it provide a scientific clarification of the complex system of divination. Every time I thought about this, I found myself unable to give up, and had no choice but to persevere.
