The first part consists of 10 chapters, discussing each disease—Sun syndrome, Yangming syndrome, Shaoyang syndrome, Taiyin syndrome, Shaoyin syndrome, Jueyin syndrome, Huoluan disease, and post-Yin-Yang exchange recovery disease—separately. Each disease includes original text, word explanations, summaries, interpretations, selected annotations, reviews, treatment methods, prescriptions, prescription meanings, selected commentaries, critiques, and clinical applications (including ancient and modern applications), as well as modern research.
The second part has 4 chapters: differential diagnosis of similar syndromes (including syndrome, symptoms, pulse, and tongue manifestations), differential diagnosis of similar prescriptions, differential diagnosis of medication use, and special research topics.
At the end of the book, there is an index of prescriptions. This book systematically, comprehensively, and scientifically explores, organizes, and studies Shanghan Lun. It incorporates the insightful discussions of (generations of medical scholars) and contemporary research achievements, analyzing them clearly and logically. It thoroughlys the theoretical and practical materials of Shanghan Lun, extracts the essence of past research, and reflects modern research findings. The content is rich, the data is detailed, and it represents the highest level of development of Shanghan Lun studies at the end of the 20th century.
This book is suitable for graduate and undergraduate students, researchers, and teachers in TCM universities and colleges, as well as TCM research institutes. It also holds significant reference value for clinical TCM practitioners.
