Symptom Description: Occasionally, the baby spits up milk in large amounts, expelling all the milk consumed, accompanied by continuous crying and fussing. Excessive gas with a small amount of feces present.
Past Treatment and Effect: No treatment has been administered.
Desired Help: Why is this occurring? Is it normal?

Doctor's answer:

Nursing a child can be caused by physiological conditions or occur on the basis of pathological changes. This is because the younger the child, the smaller the stomach capacity relative to their size, and it is still in a horizontal position. Additionally, rapid growth and development lead to increased food intake, making them more prone to spitting up.
Do not overfeed the child during each feeding. If spitting up still occurs, or if other abnormal symptoms are present, such as fever or lethargy, seek medical attention.
If the child is formula-fed, the formula should be prepared by first adjusting the water temperature and then adding the powder. Some parents may place the bottle horizontally to control the flow, fearing the child will choke while sucking the nipple. However, this can easily cause the child to swallow a large amount of air.
If the child is breastfed, the child should be encouraged to suck on part of the areola to reduce the intake of air.
