Medical history and treatment effectiveness: None
Kind of help needed: Consultation
Thank you, doctor

Doctor's answer:

The normal basal body temperature of children is 36.9~37.5. Generally, when the temperature is 1 degree or more above the baseline, it can be considered a fever. Among them, low-grade fever refers to a temperature fluctuating around 38, while high fever is when the temperature is above 39. A fever lasting more than two weeks is called a prolonged fever. The above baseline temperature refers to rectal temperature, which is measured from the anus. Generally, oral temperature is 0.3~0.5 degrees lower than rectal temperature, and axillary and neck temperatures are 0.3~0.5 degrees lower than oral temperature.
