How is HIE treated?

Patient's question:

God can eat less frequently, breastfeed but not be full, always eating while napping, sometimes milk remains in the mouth without swallowing, as if there's no sensation, bottle feeding may be able to be full, sometimes the eyes turn inward, fewer movements, high muscle tone. At 17 days, admitted to the hospital due to malnutrition caused by insufficient breastfeeding.
Previous treatment and outcomes:
- Admitted at 17 days for malnutrition
- CT scan at 23 days; symmetrical low-density areas in the bilateral frontal and parietal white matter with a CT value of HU16, otherwise normal
- Hyperbaric oxygen therapy and brain-stimulating injections increased appetite and improved condition
What kind of assistance is needed:
- Is this a brain disease?
- What kind of brain disease is it?
- Is it serious?

Doctor's answer:

① Correct hypoxemia and hypercapnia; use mechanical ventilation if necessary.
② Correct hypotension: ensure adequate cerebral blood flow; commonly use dopamine at a rate of 5-10 μg/kg/min intravenously.
③ Supply sufficient glucose to support cerebral tissue energy metabolism, which requires: administer at a rate of 6-8 mg/kg/min.
④ Correct metabolic acidosis: sodium bicarbonate 2-3 mEq/kg, dissolved in 10% glucose, infused slowly intravenously.
