Features: Social security is an undertaking that emerged with the birth of human civilization. In the process of development and progress of human society, the cause of social security has gradually become legalized and systematized. Today, the establishment and improvement of the social security system have become an important work of governments and people worldwide; it serves as a safety net for political stability and economic development in a country, and is a symbol of the effective guarantee of the right to survival. This book is primarily intended as a teaching material for graduate and undergraduate students. To enable students to master the basic theories and practices of social security, we have strived to integrate theories and practices of social security from both China and the world, constructing a unique theoretical and practical framework for this book. In terms of basic theories, it introduces students to the fundamental concepts, functions, systems, and administrative agencies of social security, as well as the characteristics, roles, and implementation principles of specific projects within the social security system, laying a foundation for students to delve deeper into and conduct research on social security theories. In terms of practical operations, it introduces both the general patterns of actual operations in social security projects worldwide and the specific procedures for current and future social security work in China. This allows students to understand the operational principles of China's social security work and adapt to the needs of future work in China's gradually improving social security system.
