Features: Overall, China belongs to the civil law system. Civil law legal education primarily focuses on the reasoning process of the cyclic interaction among "theory," "norms," and "cases." In contrast, Chinese legal education places emphasis on theory and has recently become interested in cases, yet norms have not yet received sufficient attention from the academic community. However, norms are at the core of legal reasoning, and this lack of attention to them is indeed a regrettable oversight. To address this, following the publishing philosophy of "explaining core norms as the central link," we have launched the "Core Curriculum Related Guidance" series.
This series of books includes three major sections in its content:
- Arguments – Based on the learning focus of the field, it highlights important theories and core systems, provides recommended reading lists, and offers theoretical guidance for in-depth study.
- Norms – It selects all essential regulations, guiding you through the current legal norm system.
- Cases – It presents typical cases for core legal provisions, analyzed and commented on by authoritative experts, providing professional guidance for applying legal norms and conducting theoretical analysis. This allows you to observe social realities with a legal perspective.
Through such integrated learning, you can gain a thorough and comprehensive understanding of legal knowledge. This is a fundamental goal of this book, but not its entirety.
The judicial examination, due to its authority and practicality, has become a must-pass path for Chinese legal professionals. How to combine classroom learning with judicial examination preparation is a key issue we focus on. To address this, we have created the "Judicial Examination Column." The main functions of the "Judicial Examination Column" are as follows:
1. Integrating Classroom Learning and Judicial Examination Review – The "Judicial Examination Column" follows the corresponding chapters, allowing for simultaneous classroom learning and examination review, creating a synergistic effect.
2. Corresponding Learning of Examination Syllabus and Essential Norms – For specific points of the syllabus, it provides related legal provisions, making key provisions clear and identifiable.
3. Self-Assessment Using Past Judicial Examination Questions – It includes past examination questions corresponding to relevant provisions, along with reference answers for timely self-assessment.
This series is aimed at legal students and other professionals, focusing on the intrinsic connections between legal provisions, arguments, and cases. It organizes relevant theoretical viewpoints, analyzes typical cases, outlines specific norm systems, and promotes the interaction between theoretical learning and legislative practice. It cleverly combines classroom learning with judicial examination review.
The goal is to provide authoritative learning guidance for legal professionals, strengthen the weak links in Chinese legal education, and advance the professionalization and in-depth development of Chinese legal education.
