Features: This textbook incorporates the main content of previously published "Traditional Chinese Medicine Diagnosis" textbooks and systematically organizes various diagnostic methods. It first categorizes syndromes based on exterior/interior, deficiency/excess, and cold/heat, then organically connects them around the zang-fu system to derive various logical combinations. This diagnostic system can encompass the essential content of past related diagnostic methods and align more closely with clinical diagnostic thinking principles. The textbook includes chapters on Eight Principles, Zang-Fu, Six Channels, and Wei-Qi-Ying-Xue diagnostics, enabling students to truly master scientific diagnostic thinking methods through systematic learning. It focuses on introducing the concept of syndromes, clinical manifestations, syndrome analysis, and key diagnostic points, clarifying the relationship between four diagnostic methods, disease identification, and syndrome differentiation, as well as the principles of their integrated application. It also introduces the basic content, format, and requirements for case report writing according to the "Writing Standards for Traditional Chinese Medicine Case Reports" issued by the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
The appendix includes differential diagnosis for common symptoms and syndromes. Additionally, a companion textbook, "Traditional Chinese Medicine Syndrome Differentiation (Electronic Version)," is provided. Part of it is a multimedia syndrome differentiation training software that simulates real clinical scenarios to train learners in traditional Chinese medicine diagnostic thinking and review the content learned. The second part covers recent research advancements in Traditional Chinese Medicine Syndrome Differentiation, helping learners stay updated on the modern research progress in this field.
