Is the baby suffering from wind-heat or wind-cold cough?

Patient's question:

Onset time: Laboratory test results: Previous treatment history and effectiveness: No runny nose, just coughing and hiccups, slightly indigestion, measured body temperature at 37.5 today,,, want to make many dietary adjustments for him to nourish, but can't determine whether it's cold or heat. Please help me with syndrome differentiation and treatment, thank you

Doctor's answer:

Now it's autumn and the weather is cool with a lot of wind and cold, leading to a fever. Basically, there's no wind-heat cold. In my clinical practice, I often use San Yao Tang and Zhi Su San with modifications to treat children with wind-cold fever. For a 10-month-old infant, the prescription is as follows: Ephedra 3g, Apricot Kernel 6g, Licorice 3g, Platycodon 6g, Aster 6g, Schizonepeta 6g, Stemona 6g, Tangerine Peel 5g, Asarum 6g, Pinellia 6g, Magnolia Bark 6g, Poria 12g, Codonopsis 12g, Atractylodes 12g, Perilla Leaf 6g, and Croton Tuber and Bitter Melon, each 10g. You can go to the pharmacy and have two doses prepared based on my Chinese herbal formula for the child to take. Each dose should be 3-4 spoonfuls.
