Doctor's answer:
The child involuntarily urinates. If it occurs during sleep, it is also known as enuresis. It is common in children over three years old. It is often caused by insufficient kidney qi, cold in the bladder, deficiency of the lower body, or weakened constitution after illness, as well as spleen and lung qi deficiency, or habits. The Treatise on the Causes and Symptoms of Diseases states: "Enuresis is due to cold in the bladder, which cannot control the flow of urine." For cold in the bladder, treatment should involve warming the meridians and reinforcing the bladder, using Shuoquan Wan or Guquan Wan. For insufficient kidney qi, treatment should involve strengthening qi and nourishing the kidneys, using Jinkui Shenqi Wan.
