It has been 10 days, but he is still not better. He has even started developing new sores. Is it the doctor's fault?
Doctor's answer:
Hand, foot, and mouth disease refers to the recurrence of blisters on the hands, feet, buttocks, and inside of the mouth, often accompanied by fever. It is most commonly caused by viral infections, although a small portion of severe cases may involve bacterial infections. If you have hand, foot, and mouth disease, a urine test is necessary to check for bacterial, viral, or mycoplasma infections. Treatment should be based on the results of the urine test. If the test indicates severe contagiousness, hospitalization and intravenous fluid treatment may be required. Maintain a light diet and consume soft, easily digestible foods. For oral blisters, you can use a children's throat spray (e.g., Kaifeng Jian).
