Patient's question:
The child urinates at night and needs to go to bed to sleep two or three times a night, sleeping very deeply and being extremely difficult to wake up. They have been treated at Zhaoqing Huato Hospital with traditional Chinese medicine and have been taking approximately two months of Chinese herbal medicine. The past treatment history and effectiveness: no matter what kind of assistance is needed: I would like to know if there are any folk remedies that can treat this condition.Doctor's answer:
Medically known as "enuresis," it is an external manifestation of a child's weakened constitution. Bedwetting causes the most severe harm to a child's psychological and personality development. Treatment is necessary. Modern medicine has proven that there are three fundamental causes of bedwetting in children: weakened spleen and stomach, functional disorders leading to endocrine imbalances in the bladder's gasification function; underdeveloped central nervous system growth, where the signals of the urge to urinate cannot be transmitted to the brain in a timely and accurate manner; and underdeveloped bladder sphincter muscle function, which prevents the bladder from emptying normally. These three causes interfere with and affect each other, and the longer bedwetting persists, the worse the condition becomes.
