Features: It is not an easy task for an era to cultivate a calligrapher. It involves not only the solid traditional foundation, refined brushwork techniques, and profound cultural heritage of the calligrapher but also determines his strong artistic personality and unique artistic insights. Of course, innate talent and vigorous vitality are also required. [Each generation produces outstanding talents, leading the trend for hundreds of years]. Therefore, from a historical perspective, only a handful of individuals in an era can truly be considered calligraphers, and among them, the great masters are even rarer. Only those who can establish a new school can be called great masters. In the mid-Ming Dynasty, there emerged a figure worthy of in-depth study, namely Wen Zhengming, one of the Four Talents of Wuzhong. The "Wen Zhengming Running Script Poetry Album" featured in this issue is now preserved in the Taipei Palace Museum. Observing its running script, the brushwork is exquisite. Although the form is upright, the brush intent is lively. During the turns and twists, it flows seamlessly, like pearls rolling on a plate, with each stroke turning effortlessly. Additionally, the brush force is deep and strong, the strokes are vigorous, and the overall effect is dynamic, giving a sense of vitality.
