Keyboard Harmony and Improvisation: A Practical Guide

Author: Dai Dingcheng
Publisher:
Publishing Date: 2004-01-01
Features: This small book was written in the summer of 1989 at the invitation of a music specialist class for teaching purposes. It was primarily compiled from the perspectives of being practical, easy to understand, and quick to get started. After the class was completed, the textbook was gradually printed, and unexpectedly, both the textbook and the lecture were widely welcomed by the students. Shortly after, it was awarded as an outstanding work (textbook) at the first national piano improvisation accompaniment research conference. With the support of Anhui Literature and Art Publishing House, it was published and distributed nationwide in 1992. In the following several years, the book was reprinted and republished several times, and there was a period when it was out of stock. The author learned that some units had even internally reprinted it on several occasions. A simple and easy-to-understand book can still be well-received and in demand after being published for over ten years, which also proves that its quality has undoubtedly undergone certain tests.
