What is the reason for repeated fever in a one-year-old baby?

Patient's question:

6-year-old baby had a fever a few days ago and appeared red spots on their body three days later. After the fever subsided, it reappeared within a few days with a temperature not exceeding 38 degrees. What is going on?
Previous treatment and effectiveness: During the last fever, the baby was given anti-inflammatory and cold medicine. How much help did taking the fever-reducing medicine provide: What is the reason for the baby's recurring fever?

Doctor's answer:

Children often have fever due to infectious causes, with common reasons including viruses, bacteria, mycoplasma, and so on. Your child's recurring fever suggests that the infection hasn't been effectively controlled.
Medical Advice:
Antipyretic drugs can be repeated every 4-6 hours, but it is recommended not to exceed 4 times a day. They can be taken now.
If a low-grade fever reappears, drinking more water may help lower the temperature to normal. Generally, antipyretic drugs are not preferred in such cases. However, if the temperature is slightly elevated but below 38.5°C, it is advisable to drink more water while also taking antipyretic drugs.
Wishing you a speedy recovery!
