Children of Time

Author: Ian McEwan
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2003-12-01
Features: This novel is brilliantly written, serious, moving, and highly readable. It draws on the innocence that great British writers continually revisit, a quality more rare than experience. If you want to experience shock, rejuvenation, excitement, and joy, then please read it. A Child in Time is an extraordinary achievement, where form and content, theory and practice are so cleverly and closely interwoven that the novel becomes the best proof of its own discussed themes. I found it so moving, with such a wonderful ending. The book studies the world under a magnifying glass, its unbearable directness, its neurotic intellectual games making it a brilliant novel.
