Please help the neurologist take a look at my baby's condition

Patient's question:

Could you please help me ask the neurologist to evaluate whether my baby's condition can be ruled out as infantile spasms? Male, at one and a half months old, we noticed that when he was being held upright and playing excitedly, he would suddenly extend his hands, tense his body, and have wide-open eyes with a very startled expression. This would last for six or seven seconds. His mouth does not twitch, his eyes do not roll back, and he does not foam at the mouth. This only happens when he is particularly sad, anxious, or very excited. When we went to the hospital, the doctor said it was not very likely to be epilepsy and suggested supplementing with calcium first. However, infantile spasms are the most feared condition in such young children.

Doctor's answer:

The situation you described: The baby, apart from snoring during deep sleep, breathes through his mouth when taking naps, often waking up after a slight sigh, and his breathing pauses for seven or eight seconds after waking up. This makes me feel something is not quite right. The reasons for mouth breathing and breathing pauses could be due to airway (narrowing), but there are also eczema, thrush, and bumps on his hands, which indicate his immunity may be weaker than usual or that he may have a congenital disease.
Recommendation: Take the child to the hospital for a comprehensive and thorough examination promptly. Babies at this stage are very susceptible to simple infections that can lead to serious consequences. Your child's overall condition appears quite complex, and it is necessary to identify the cause in a timely manner.
