Features: Based on the research outcomes of the Ministry of Education's "Reform Plan for Teaching Content and Curriculum Systems in Higher Education Towards the 21st Century," this book has been revised according to the updated "Basic Requirements for Teaching Fundamental Mathematics Courses for Undergraduate Engineering Majors" revised by the Teaching Guidance Committee of Fundamental Mathematics Courses for Non-Mathematics Majors under the Ministry of Education, and combined with teaching experience. To meet the teaching needs of a wide range of university teachers, the author has extensively absorbed feedback from instructors. While retaining the features of the previous edition that emphasize analysis and synthesis, integrate the basic content and methods of mathematical modeling into the textbook, and revise the explanations of important concepts and proofs of key theorems, some modifications have been made to the presentation of certain key concepts and theorems. Additional teaching content has been added, and the order of some topics has been adjusted to make the book more comprehensive, systematic, and beneficial for both teaching and learning. The book consists of six chapters, covering topics such as differential calculus of multiple variables, integral calculus of multiple variables, second-type line integrals and surface integrals, vector fields, infinite series, and an introduction to complex analysis.
