Features: This workbook is designed to accompany the fifth edition of "Advanced Mathematics" by Tongji University, divided into two volumes. It includes: differential calculus of single-variable functions, integral calculus of single-variable functions, as well as spatial analytical geometry and vector algebra; differential calculus of multivariable functions, multiple integrals, line integrals, surface integrals, infinite series, and differential equations.
Features of the Book:
1. The book follows the chapter order of the fifth edition of "Advanced Mathematics" by Tongji University. For each knowledge point in the book, we have provided a certain number of basic and advanced exercises in each section, along with a set of test questions at the end of each chapter. At the end of both volumes, two sets of mock final exam questions are included. The aim is to help students quickly and comprehensively master the content of "Advanced Mathematics."
2. The format of the book is a student workbook. On one hand, its standardized design makes it convenient for instructors to grade; on the other hand, it reduces the burden on students of copying exercises and also facilitates the preservation of the workbook.
3. The book does not provide corresponding answers or solutions. The intention is to cultivate students' ability for independent thinking and problem-solving. This book represents a reform attempt by long-term engineering higher mathematics instructors regarding an important aspect of teaching—correcting homework. It is hoped that the publication of this book will provide practical help to students and mathematics teachers in engineering universities.
This book is suitable for undergraduate students in engineering universities.
Chapter 1 was written by Xie Huiyang of Beijing Forestry University, Chapter 2 by Chai Zhiming of Petroleum University (Beijing), Chapter 3 by Xu Fengqin of Beijing Forestry University, Chapter 4 by Wang Xiaochun of Beijing Forestry University, Chapter 5 by Lang Xia of Beijing Forestry University, Chapter 6 by Tan Liyun of Petroleum University (Beijing), Chapter 7 by Wu Qing of Petroleum University (Beijing), Chapter 8 by He Fengxia of North China Electric Power University, Chapter 9 by Lü Peng of North China Electric Power University, Chapter 10 by Qiu Qirong of North China Electric Power University, Chapter 11 by Xu Yingkai of North China Electric Power University, and Chapter 12 by Peng Wuan of North China Electric Power University. The mock final exam questions for the first volume were written by Li Xia of Beijing Forestry University, and those for the second volume were written by Qiu Qirong of North China Electric Power University. The entire book was compiled by Xie Huiyang.
