Features: The view that China, apart from Confucian and Taoist civilizations, also has a shamanistic civilization, was first proposed by Professor Zhang Guangzhi of Harvard University in the United States. In his work "Six Lectures on Archaeology," he stated: "Shamanistic civilization is the most important historical characteristic of ancient Chinese civilization, and it has a 'celebrity effect' in the academic world. In the mid-to-late 1980s of the 20th century, the 'Shamanism Culture Fever' that emerged in the archaeological and historical circles of mainland China was a product of this celebrity effect. Meanwhile, abroad, some scholars extended this perspective to the study of the entire history of world civilizations, proposing that all ancient civilizations in the world were shamanistic civilizations."
