Song Poems Selected and Annotated

Author: Qian Zhongshu
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2001-01-01
Features: This book is one of the "Qian Zhongshu Collection." It includes poems such as "Sai Shang," "Liuzhi Ci," "Dui Xue," "Han Shi," and "Cun Xing," all from the Song Dynasty. It reflects the style and historical context of Song Dynasty poetry. The "Qian Zhongshu Collection" consists of ten volumes, totaling thirteen books, including "Talks on Art," "The Annotated Conversations of Chuang Tzu," "Fortress Besieged," "Selected Poems of the Song Dynasty," "Seven Annotations," "Poems of Huaiju," "The Whispering Stones," "Man, Beast, and Devil," "Written on the Edge of Life," and "Written on the Edge of Life, Again." Among these, "Talks on Art" and "The Annotated Conversations of Chuang Tzu" were revised and supplemented by Mr. Qian multiple times after their initial publication. Previous reprints had the revised sections appended at the end of the book, making them inconvenient to read. This time, the revisions have been integrated into the corresponding main text. Additionally, "Written on the Edge of Life, Again" includes Mr. Qian's scattered and previously unpublished works. As for the title, Ms. Yang Jiang once mentioned it as "Written on the Edge of Life, Again," but due to either misreporting or typographical errors, there remains a small regret.
