The content of the book is developed using VC++ .NET and Windows XP as the platforms, targeting readers with a certain foundation in C++. It systematically teaches the basic methods of Windows programming using the C++ language, progressing from simple to complex. For the convenience of teaching or self-study, the book is divided into 14 chapters, which can be arranged into 18 units for learning. Each unit involves studying or self-studying about one chapter (Chapter 5 requires two units), and the remaining 3 units can be used for flexible scheduling or practice.
Chapter 1 introduces direct Windows operating system programming methods. Chapter 2 introduces Windows programming based on MFC. Chapter 3 covers the use of some general classes provided in MFC. Chapters 4 to 9 explain the working principles and design methods of MFC document-view programs. Chapters 10 to 12 discuss the use of dialog programs and common controls in MFC. Chapter 13 teaches how to create and use dynamic link libraries in programs. Chapter 14 explains the basic methods of parallel and concurrent programming using processes and threads.
This book can serve as a textbook or main reference for C++ follow-up courses in computer science and related disciplines in higher education institutions. It is also suitable for program design courses in continuing education or online training. Additionally, it is applicable for engineering professionals and computer enthusiasts to learn and reference.
